What to Wear

Kefalonia is a traditional Greek community, but at the same time understands being part of modern Europe.  Therefore types and styles of dress are very varied.  It won't be unusual to see older people wearing the traditional garments have not changed in hundreds of years.

At the same time tshirts and jeans are the common clothes of all working people.

Visitors to the island, who are on holiday, are of course often more flamboyantly dressed and that is understood.

While visiting the caves it is good to wear sensible waterproof shoes, but shorts, shirts and swimwear are often seen and no cause for concern.
